Flashing wifi inidcator

Hi I have just bought an tp-link w8970 router very pleased BUT the wifi light indicator is always flashing.

The wifi works fine but in the manual the light should be as below.

1 Sold light wifi on not in use.

2.Flashing light wifi in use.

I have updated firmware and the wifi is not in use for sure.

Any ideas ?

You say the wifi is working
You flash the manual says the light flashes when the wifi is in use
The light is flashing

But then you say the wifi is not in use. If it's not in use, how is it working?
Have you disabled wifi on the router and see if the light goes off?

Disconnect all devices and see If that helps?

Tried rebooting?

Sorry I will exsplain a Lille more.

When wifi is swiiched on there is two states.

Solid light wifi on but not in use.
Flashing light wifi on and in use.
Mine when switched on has a constant pulse ie flash in use or not.

Even if you aren't actively using the wireless there can still be some traffic. It could even be caused by devices belonging to your neighbours, or people in the street walking past.

OK little up date the manual was wrong downloaded newer version and flashing = wifi is on so all Good
