Flat burgled! Macbook Pro stolen

Hey Guys,

Thanks for all the advice and help. So looks like I may not be covered by our insurance as the front door lock is not up to standards, the house is an old victorian house converted into 4 apartments, the main door has a lock that I could pick half asleep.

Anyway as they didn't break in the main door it doesn't help our case, and the doors to each apartment are similar to bedroom doors so it was quite easy to kick down.

Anyway we have got the landlady to add more locks, change the doors for fire doors etc... In the meantime I am going to speak to COB and get some advice on where we stand.

Looks like I will be replacing my Macbook with the 2011 model, I had the 13" so will go for the same base model.

Also probably time I moved house too.
 
id keep trying with the insurance and check your terms and conditions carefully etc .

butif you knew the locks where poor then why accept to live there and why leave macbook pros lying about ? your landlady may of made a mistake with it but so did you and everyone else , bit harsh trying to pin it all on her imo !

id be checking the local cash convertor type places , even if theyre not selling it they might be able to tell you that someones been in trying to offload one to them. you can then pass that info to the police
 
Sorry to hear it got stolen, was an unfortunate set of circumstances. Hopefully the landlady will cough up for it or at least contribute towards the cost of a new one
