Flat pedals and lights advice please

Been getting a few miles in on my new Cube Reaction Hybrid Race 750, and I'm looking for a couple of upgrades.

Going to get a new front and rear light, mostly for on road, but possibly a little light off road too, and a new set of alloy flat pedals, as I'm not a huge fan of the plastic ones that come fitted.

Any recommendations please? Probably up to £100 for the lights, and £50 for the pedals.
 
I'm not great for lights, but i don't think you'd need to spend that much on pedals. I'd just get on Amazon and find some you like the look of. I think i got some Rockbros ones for around £20

Although these look very cool

Will you be using specific shoes for the bike? Main concerns would be whether you want the small studs which give much better foot planting feel but can destroy the soles if you're planning on using this with regular trainers.

Thanks for the reply, I'll have a look through their range. I'll just be using an old pair of Reebok Goretex trainers for now, so I don't really mind if they get destroyed.

I've ordered a Knog Blinder 900 front light as it was half price, should do me for now, still looking for a rear light though.
 
Race face/nuke proof plastic pedals in whatever colour you fancy.

I've got a exposure tracer light for the rear (and front) but not for night rides off road. Both work fantastic on the gravel. But then I paid £35 for the set!

My leyzene was good too, though far too many light settings. Until it fell off somewhere....

Plastic pedals as just as good as metal in my experience - it's all about the shape, size, concavity (or lack of) and the pins used. Oh, and the shoes you would be wearing.

HT PA03A, Nukeproof Neutron EVO and Deity Deftrap are all worth looking at. But look at getting some better flat-pedal shoes, as your Reebok's likely won't grip well due to their sole layout.
 
I've got a set of Five Tens, but my son has pinched them...

I've always used Shimano Saint alloy pedals on my full suspension bikes, so I was just looking for something similar, but plastic pedals with metal pins would be a good compromise.
 
Burgtec MK5 pedals, nice large platform, concave, stable and durable with spare parts available
I run an Exposure mk3 Reakt & peloton rear and a cheap Specialized Stix light at the front, but you'd want something much more powerful out front if you're planning off road riding in the dark

I'd only ridden my FS twice in the last 2yrs, so I can't really compare them, but they're guaranteed to be better than the standard Cube ones.
