Flat White

Hey guys,

How many of you have tasted this brilliant beverage. It's my absolute favourite coffee atm!

Basically it's 2 shots of espresso and milk but served in a relatively small cup so it's very strong tasting.

I only drink coffee black with no sugar so the coffee chains with there hundreds of varieties are lost on me.

Sounds like I'd get the same experience by asking for a strong latte in a cappachino mug.

Well with the latte you only get one shot of espresso! I did notice you said strong though

Yeah I quite like flat white. Takes the milky edge off the afternoon cappuccino without having to dump in another shot.

Yeah. Depends on how you mean 'stronger'.

Flat whites are okay though I tend to prefer macchiato or just americano.

I recently bought a 6-cup hob espresso maker. Just pour it all into one mug and add a bit of milk. It's funny how the first few dashes of milk just get eaten by the brew!

There are so few places out there that do a good flat white (or a good coffee for that matter!)

A Portugese restaurant near me does the best flat white I've ever had. I keep meaning to ask what beans they use but the guy has been a barister for 30+ years so should know a thing or two!
