Flickering at bottom of screen ?

Hello i just rebuilt my pc with my new graphics card(msi 7950 bought from over clockers a week or two ago) in a new case new cpu cooler. however there is now a flickering at the bottom of the screen ? Not my video but this is what it looks like ?
any ideas ? things to try?

looks like you have already had some good advice, seems like your monitor can't do the refresh rate of what ever you have set it to, make sure your monitor drivers are loaded and not set to a default screen in settings etc, then drop the refresh rate down to suit, normally windows picks the best in win 7 anyway screen size and refresh rate, unless it says default monitor etc, then its just a guess as it doesn't know what type / make etc
 
Hey , yeah thats not my video just shows what is happening , ive tried changing the refresh rate now the is tiny white dots flashing all over the screen ?
 
Still having problems

So ive now dowloaded a few games (metro 2033) and there is a solid line down the screen with a tint on one side (only when in game) same on hitman ? Any ideas? on the plus side got a new keyboard and head set today :cool: hope you all are having a good xmas .

RIght im going to phone oc tommorow as this seem to be a problem affecting a few 7950 , see if i can get a replacment (I will having a pc, one day ) Merry christmas all of oc.
 
just goolged some reviews of the monitor and looked for same fault, quite a few out there tbh, didn't get too good a review either, hope you get it sorted
 
Yeah the line down the screen is monitor related :( new monitor needed to fix that and the flcikering is gpu related so ill contact overclockers when they are next open :)
