Lastest Drivers installed and the graphics cards are the Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6950 TOXIC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Cards. There are two of them. The screen is the Dell UltraSharp U2711 27" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Midnight Grey. However the screen keeps flickering??? From centre to right. I am using the white cable. Any ideas as to why???

I am using the white cable.

That's a bit too technical for me

You need to be using the dual link DVI cable supplied with the monitor.

Is that the one you're using?

It has the full number of pins connected like this:

And what graphics card are you using?

You need to ensure the dual link DVI cable is plugged into a dual link DVI output.

Also, after checking the dual link DVI Cable - are you sure you have enough power running to the card from the PSU?

I had the same problem on my old card whereby I had to upgrade the PSU to stop the random flickering.

If you use a DualMonitor/TV setup then I would also check that the TV is not in standby mode as that can cause the monitor to flicker (as it thinks a new device is continously being inserted into your GPU) if that makes sense?

Yes i am using the Dual Link cable. Had a mental blank with the name. It still flickers. I am using two Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6950 TOXIC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card's. Any ideas?

I am using the Corsair Professional Series AX750 High Performance 750W Modular '80 Plus Gold' Power Supply. Which should be more than enough power. I am not using the Dualmonito/ TV setup. Think it could be the cable or the screen. Is there any way of test if it is??

And have you connected to a dual link output on the graphics card?

Only one of the DVI connectors (I think the top one) is dual link.

What resolution and refresh rate is your output set to?

Ensure the connections to monitor and graphics card are secure.

Swap the graphics cards around and then use the output from the other card.

Try a different dual link cable if you have one.

If none of those things cures it then it looks like a faulty monitor.
