As of today it appears my TV has started acting weirdly. I am getting these weird flickering white lines appearing on the right hand side of the screen. They only appear on the right hand side of the screen, never the centre or left hand side and they flicker for about half a second then disappear. The TV has worked fie for 3 years and the only changes I've made have bee that yesterday I plugged my PC into the TV via HDMI for the first time. It may be worth noting that only HDMI devices seem to be effected by this flickering. When I watch Sky through a Scart lead there aren't any lines at all.
The only way I can really describe it is like when you have a mobile phone next to a monitor and you receive a call or a text, it's like that kind of interference, except with flickering white lines. I am fairly certain that there is no interference nearby as the TV has been in exactly the same location for the past 3 years with no problems until the introduction of the PC via HDMI. To eliminate the PC as the cause I unplugged it from the TV and tried a different HDMI device on the TV, my PS3, which also displays these flickering lines, I thought maybe the cable is at fault so I tried a spare and that also producs the same effects, my TV has 2 HDMI ports and I've tried both, so it's not one of the ports being filled with dust or something.
If anyone has any idea on what the problem may be then I'd be glad to hear it before I end up just chucking the thing out and buying another.
Oh, and the TV model number in question is a Samsung LE32M88BDX/XEU if that means anything to anyone!
