Flickr has had a face lift

Well FlickStackr still runs pretty quick, so it's got to be the new layout causing the slowdown? There is an option to change from justified to small, square etc but it doesn't work for me!

I really don't like the black background either, and it looks really disjointed with the way it fills most of the screen and then beneath the white bit with the info, looks horrible also makes adding black cinematic style edges pointless! The old style was so much more simpler and flexible, I wish they at least gave the option of choosing a theme rather than force everyone to use this new one.

I kept my pro account too, still a bit confuzzled with the package changes.

It's a disaster, their servers just can't handle it! I hate the black background, it was fine before with std white and the light box only if you clicked. I can find most things ok now, but the speed is awful and did I say I hate the black?

The feedback is quite amusing (almost completely negative), Flickr have said it is not going back to how things were, whether or not they'll tweak it?... First of all they need to get the back end right so it is useable!

I changed the background to grey using the "stylish" extension in my browser

That looks quite cool, I'll keep an eye out from someone building a new "old" look for Flickr :D There's one to get the old info box back already.

edit: Oh and background is now white, cheers for the heads up :)

If you have the pro account does that mean that when logged in you don't get ads, or does it mean ads don't feature on your photostream if guests visit?

I've yet to find an add on anyone's photostream whilst logged out without any adblock running.
