Anyone using this?

It's simply your flickr pics on black but also everything is displayed on the one page so all you have to do is scroll.

It's free to use and all you have to do is link it to your flickr account by clicking 'log in' on the top left hand side of the screen.

I think it looks much better than viewing on flickr.

Here's mine, what do you think? http://www.flickriver.com/photos/stevemillward/sets/

I don't like the fact you're forced to download every single one of the photos, even if you don't want to.

Who makes this by the way? Is it a third party using scripts to pull your info from your account with your details? If so, how secure is it?

It is a third party app but verified by flickr. You do have to 'link' to your flick account but on doing so flickr advise that it is safe and Flickriver does not have authorisation to edit or delete any content.

As for being forced to download each photo not sure what you mean? It only loads/downloads 8 images at at time if you scroll down to the 8th image it loads/downloads 8 more. If you don't scroll past the 8th image it doesn't..

I just think it's nice to use, looks better and the images are displayed larger than on flickr.

It's an add-on/plug-in that lets you view all your photos on a black wall. I had a look at flickriver, it is fairly pretty, but if flickr isn't pretty enough for you wouldn't you want your own page design and hosting? Genuine question btw, not being facetious.

Nah, not interested in paying. My photos aren't good enough to merit me spending money to host them, i just thought i'd mention Flickriver as until just now i'd never come across it and i think its easier to use than flickr.

Yeah me too. Much nicer using my scroll wheel to browse sets rather than having to click on each photo individually. Also like the minimalistic layout on the black background. Looks more professional and makes the photos really stand out.
