Flight Ban for refusing X-Ray

You know how to defeat terrorists?

Never speak of them, never mention any terrorist incident, basically pretend it never happened....

They will fade from existence..

Do the math, you'll see im right

isnt that what the majority of the population do? instead of speaking out against it...

yet this doesnt really seem to deter anyone....

go to speakers corner for more on that bombshell...

I want multi layered security, I think going through these types of machine say 3 times would be great. You would have to have a massive lapse in security for anything to happen then.

Too right! I hate it so much when people try and bring religion into things like this!

Should be "No Xray = No Flight" - like it always has been - no exceptions

If she has such a problem with it - she needs to get the glove treatment :p

I have no problem if they want to see me naked if it increases security for flights. Because that's what it's all about, increasing security.

I applaud it.

Actually it's probably more about reducing the cost of insurance, and fortifying the image of flying being safe (despite being safe already) to encourage people back to flying.

It's will have been carefully checked to see if the number of people who will fly on a more "secure" aviation industry outweighs the few people who won;t due to the fear of someone fapping to the outline of their fat rolls.

Can this scanner pick up on variations in skin colour?

I'm going to Barcelona in a few weeks and I don't want them mistaking my wang for something else, or thinking I've injected it full of heroin.

Aren't there issues with repeated exposure to X-Rays?
Yea in the tens of thousands you can start to suffer some damage.

The woman was just being a moron though, you see the airport rules, your religion is not an excuse to ignore them. It's nice that you like your life eyes closed but this is real time now.

Don't worry as the false sense of security is like a warm blanket and worth any amount of erosion of our liberties!

Sometimes the sense of security can be jsut as important as security itself.

The scanner pick up variations in density of matter i believe, so they shown organic tissue and non-organic tissue. The resolution is not good enough to pick up varieties of organic tissue.

I just wish the money wasted on these scanners had been spent on improving aircraft safety as accidents kill far far more people than bombings ever did. Even donating the money to cancer research would have saved more lives that this.

oh yea it is a matter of maturity i laugh when people say opinions on such big topics "are childish" what is childish is thinking that these body scanners is going to make anything more secure.

........Then just what the flying fudge is your problem? Just get a damn X-Ray if asked already

:/

However if flying becomes such as hassle that less and less people do it then in a way the terrorists have won.

I can see the headlines now, "Terrorists help reduce climate change by lowering the amount of frequent flyers" :p

It would make life easier if they had something you had to agree to before you purchased the ticket. Like it or not, think it's stupid if you like some people will object to having the scans. Surely something so simple that can lessen the amount of people objecting at the gate would be helpful? After all it only needs to be a simple checkbox online or the travel agent advising you before making a booking.

What I object to more is the money being spent on it when it probably won't make a great deal of difference. I haven't seen any conclusive evidence that it will and it's more worrying to think it will provide people with a false sense of security.

Wait wait wait...This isn't mandatory for every person on every flight you know...This one person needed to be scanned for whatever reason, and didn't want it to be done.

If it was something that was done to every passanger (Like the walk through metal detectors) then fair enough...but its not

She shouldn't have moaned. Another Muslim being persecuted!! Next thing they will be complaining that pigs are allowed to be bred in the UK!!
