Anyone recommend a good Flight Combat simulator? Dog fighting, WWII scenarios etc.

I am also interested in this.

I really enjoyed MS combat flight sim (think it was number 2 - came out in 2002 iirc) but they never made a 3rd one.

Wings of Prey, IL2, Rise of Flight

...are your main options. I wouldn't touch cliffs of dover unless your pc is top notch, I have a middling spec and it is pretty unplayable.

As above, Eames, there's an imminent beta coming that supposidly will boost fps by no less than 50% according to Luthier :eek:

Though I'll believe it when it actually happens...

for WWII IL2
Dont get IL2 Cliffs of Dover is utter gash
for WWI Rise of flight is pretty good and FREE to play (well 1 plane is free)

They did make Combat Flight Simulator 3

If you want a good mmo experience check out WW2 Online Battleground Europe or Aces High 2. Also, look out for World of Planes which should be released soon.

They did make a third one, in fact it was pretty decent and is still played, albeit normally heavily modded, today. I myself used to fly as part of an on-line squadron back in the day, on all three MS: CFS and IL2.

My mistake - It was the 3rd one that I played

It was fun and actually gave 'flight sims' a purpose rather than just aimlessly flying about.
