Flight prices

Quickie...

Would the cost of a flight go up or down the closer it got to a date? I'm thinking its probably going to go up is it not? :confused:

Yes generally they do go up but sometimes they can go down...depends on what time of the yr your going and where your going i suppose.

It depends on how full the flight is, but normally upwards.

most scheduled services go up.
However charter flights to spain are already paid for so it makes sense to fill the plane so sell off last minute cheap (you take the chance that there are still seats left though

)

it also depends on how late you leave it, and how popular a route is.

if you leave it to the very last minute (same day or day before) you might find airlines offloading un sold empty seats at cheap prices.

however on more popular routes this is much more unlikely.

In general they go up the longer you leave it, but if you leave it really late (2-3 days before you leave) then you may bet a bargain.

Poh sticks. I thought so, and a flight to Athens in the begining of June is just going to go up in price. :rolleyes:
