Hopefully someone here can help with a couple of questions about flying in Thailand.

We're planning to fly with Air Asia from Bangkok to Phuket at 7:50am. I've been told by a few people "just walk in at 7 and you'll be there with time to spare" and also been told "get there three hours early!!".

Has anyone has any experience with this?

Also if anyone has ever gone from Phuket to Phi Phi Island Village Resort can you reply back on here. I've got a few more bits and bobs i need some help with

Thanks

When I went from Suvarnabhumi to Phuket I went about an hour before departure time as it's an internal flight, check the airlines website though

as for PhiPhi you can buy tickets anytime for the ferry at all the travel agents in Phuket for about 400 baht and most give a free transfer to the ferry port afaik, mind did anyways

after PhiPhi you can get another ferry to Krabi then onto the airport there for flights to KohSamui etc

ps I think Thai Airways was cheaper than Air Asia when I went and the have a nice little lounge to wait in at BKK

An hour before should be fine it was for us a couple of years ago, but remember traffic in Bangkok can get pretty crazy so make sure you aim to be there more than an hour before.

As has been said Phi Phi travel can be booked from just about anywhere in Phuket and is by fery unless your feeling rich and fancy sea plane! Phi Phi is amazing!

Thanks for all the responses.

The resort we're staying at gives us a transfer from the Airport to Ao Po Grand Marina, then a fancy ferry to Ton Sai Bay, then another transfer from there to the resort.

It better be bloody worth it ><
