Ive had a few people tell me the Saitek X52 is no more than a gimmick, take away the fancy lights and its no better than something half its price!
Well thats an opinion, but show me something half the price with the same amount of features.

MS Sidewinder FFB2 for me :) (used with Falcon 4:AF, and Il-2/FB/Pacific Fighters, never got into LOMAC...)

So, what from everyones experience, would be the best joystick?

for either FS2004 or combat flight sims?

I can't fault my Saitek Cyborg Evo Force, although I am tempted to get an X52.

I had a game with my brother a while back. I was wearing a blindfold, he was guiding me in:

"Left a bit....bit more....down a bit...slow a bit....bail out a bit".

Anyone know is MS is working on a new one?

Official site - http://www.microsoft.com/games/pc/flightsimulatorx.aspx

The blogs of the FSX development team. A very good resource of info about the new sim.

There is nothing available even at the same price, let alone half the price that has as many features as the X52.
