Not sure how many on here try to run the resource hog that is FSX but some interesting tweaks are being uncovered to do with Shader Models.

That thread explains some of the tweaks which are involved. I have been using the Shader Model 3.0 fix and it works like a treat. I think its particularly useful for users with ATI cards. This + the newish ATI vSync fix makes FSX very useable with high sliders now.
