London City Airport was brought to a standstill on Tuesday morning after a group of Black Lives Matter activists stormed the runway.

The demonstrators say they have "shut down London City Airport to protest the UK's environmental impact on black people".

By 2050 there will be 200 million climate refugees. Black people are the first to die, not the first to fly, in this racist climate crisis.

So climate change is now a race issue? I'm struggling to see the link tbh, its not like climate change isn't a global problem.

Looking at the photo's online, the protesters are all white, why are white people trying to hijack this black political protest movement?

I'm genuinely confused about this, usually I can usually see *some* point in protesting, but climate change specifically to do with race completely escapes me.

How are they even allowed to shut an airport down!
Are the police scared of doing anything because 'racist'?

Thing is, most of the protesters are white, so they can be beaten with impunity.
