Flippin' "lasers"

Another convertee... ;)

The other half still thinks her laser eye surgery is the best thing she's ever done.
Gone from -10 and -9.75 to pretty much perfect.

Another positive review from me. I've always worn either glasses or contacts to correct astigmatism. New Years 2008-2009 I decided that I would make it my New Years resolution to get it done.

Here I am nearly a year later and still with great eyesight.

The procedure was pain free, just a slight discomfort and pressure while it's being done.

I found afterwards it was very blurry for me. I wouldn't have been able to drive home AND I found that once the drops wore off they did start to sting quite a bit. However Paracetamol stopped this pretty quick.

I had mine done late in the afternoon so I decided to get an early night when i got home. The next day I woke up and I could see the clock! I could read the text on Sky News without glasses or squinting!!

Over the following weeks it got better and better to the point where I could read better than 20/20 if I concentrated on the text.
One thing to bare in mind though for those thinking about it. The vision you will get will be very good, but it will be natural. Do not expect to get the same sort of vision as you do with glasses. You will have the same quality of vision as with glasses but it will feel very different and takes some getting used to (which is why I think they say it takes a few weeks to settle down).
Your brain has to re-learn how to use your eyes.

I have found minor down sides though. I work in IT with a lot of PC use (as well as WoW time in the evenings). I do find that I get Eye Strain and Tiredness if I don't take regular breaks (which you should be doing anyway). This is something I didn't have a problem with before. Also I do tend to suffer with dry eyes more than before....although this was something I was used to with Contacts anyway.

All in all though I'm still very pleased with the procedure.
For those interested I went for my tests and appointments are Watford Optical Express and then had the Surgery done in Uxbridge.
