Floods :(

hmm, don't want to trivialise what people are going through but i had a trip down to oxford planned for the weekend... is it going to be a write off?

Well you're only 40 mins from Bristol & Bath, perhaps a good time for a mini holiday / break!

Yeah, my Grandparents live in Bath so I'm probably going to pay them a visit.

Apparently the latest bowser vandalism involved some halfwits forcing open the top of a bowser and contaminating it... with urine. :(

made me laugh today going past my local shops to see people filling their cars up with bottled water they had bought. you can get crates of it free from a few places round town. but as i have no transport, i had to carry a crate whilst on my pushbike. what fun. :D

Care to share the locations? :p

I printed off a map from google maps and circled a few bowser locations, something Severn Trent should have done to accompany the list on their site.

They should have some Army personnel guarding these bowsers, round the clock.

My water is gone now, but can't complain too much because the taps only dried up today. It will be an interesting couple of weeks.

I'm in headington just east of oxford town centre. Other than heavy rain over the weekend I haven't noticed anything flooding wise.

Sorry to see all that water CocoPops :( Hope you get it all sorted quickly.

Headington is up a gigantic hill. :p

I'm in Marston, just down that hill from you, but we haven't had floods here either, despite getting all your water.

A few fields next to the River Cherwell are flooded though, but none of the houses have been affected as the fields are nowhere near houses.

Edit: Dan, your trip should be fine. :)

well the locations for bottled water are on the severn trent site too....

SAINSBURYS OAKLEY, CHELTENHAM GL52 5AQ
HOME BASE, GALLAGHER RETAIL PARK CHELTENHAM GL51 9RR
MORRISONS, UPPER HATHERLEY WAY CHELTENHAM GL51 3BW
CAR PARK, NORTH PLACE CHELTENHAM GL50 4DW

i went to morrissons around lunch time today and they had dozens of pallets of the stuff. only 1 crate per household though (24x500ml bottles), not that it bothered me, it was all i could carry. :)

I think it's time to accept America's help:
