We dont mind in the night, but in the day time......not good :(

Also Hurricanes, in Orlando? (International Drive) ? - Do they occur often? :o

Weathers not to bad that time of year really. If your looking for some good places to shop and eat head for 192 which is about 10 minute drive from international drive. Well depends on which part of international drive but your see what i mean when you get there :D

It more than likely will rain during the day. I've been to the parks in October time when it's not too bad, and even then it would get to about 2.30pm and just unload for a few mins, then the sun would come back out. Almost as regular as clockwork. We didn't care tho - we were soaked from the water rides anyway :p

I'll be there in September as well, from the 7th. Going to Orlando and Miami.

I spent a bit of time looking at weather conditions and it looked to me as though there is half the amount of rainfall in September as there is in August.

There is the greatest chance of thunderstorms/hurricanes anytime between May and November so it's hard to escape it if you want to go when it will be hot.

I went when I was little (like 8 years old) at about that time, I remeber the rain comming about once a day, for about 10 mins, then clearing up.
was nice time to go tbh.

When it rains in Florida though, its not like rain in the UK. The temperature doesnt drop and the water is actually warm, I was usually glad when the rain came

Im off in ten days to Orlando

September is the best time of year to go, most of the kids are back at school so there’s less que’s

Ive been twice in Sept and once in May. In May its very dry and busy, i much prefer September. The rain? believe me you will welcome the rain, especially on those real hot days when its touching 100F, as mentioned above, the rain is nothing like this country. When its rains it rains hard for like 30 mins - 1 hour and then the sun comes back out and you dry off within minutes!

Have you decided which hotel you are staying in on I drive? and are you driving or using the trolleys?

As above -

Im heading down there in September but to Fort Meyers to hit the beaches
Will rain most days maybe but only for half hour or so and then be nice and sunny but not too hot and sweaty!! prob 80's at a guess.

Errm apart from that - DONT CANCEL!! lol
Best place in the world and there is so much to do and see its unreal!!
If you like theme parks your in heaven - dont have the most amazing thrill seekers in the world but for pure design and concept they are well up there!!
If you fancy venturing to the coast for a day or two then thats well worth it!

Remember you have to be 21 to go out and drink over there - although you can still hit some of the clubs you just wont be able to drink

ALSo the dollar rate at the moment is pretty amazing so keep an eye on that - :D

DO NOT CANCEL your holiday on account of a little bit of rain!

Florida's climate is that it's very humid, and air from the gulf coast hits air from the atlantic coast during the afternoon creating thunderstorms and showers most days that time of year.

HOWEVER, the rain will generally be quite heavy but maybe for only 30 to 60 minutes, and whilst this is going on it'll still be warm. Once it stops the sun will be back out and it'll dry up in no time.

You'll have an ace time. I've been 9 times now, usually for 2 weeks sometimes between July and September, and we haven't had many days ruined by the weather.

I went in October and, whilst it rained quite often, it was usually just a torrential downpour for about 5 or 10 minutes and then back to sunshine. It's actually really cool :)

We;re flying out there on the 11th for 10 nights. We've been in May before which was ace. The rain is supposed to just be half hour bursts but it will definitely happen. There is no way the whole 14 days will be dry.

The parks have lots of dry places and the rides generally queue indoors for the majority of the time.

Do not cancel, it'll be ace. Security will be tight but in my book that's a good thing.

Check your passport fits the current Visa Waiver requirements though I wouldn't fancy getting caught out by that one!. Vists www.usembassy.org.uk if you're not sure.

Is it best to book tickets before you go?
I've seen the 4 or 5-day flex tickets that don't look too bad

No no and thrice no.

The tickets are cheaper and better over there, when combined with the fantastic exchange rate at the moment it's better to wait in my opinion.

If you want to buy in advance check out maple leaf tickets via Google.

Sounds great, erm my mom was going to cancel because of all the "terrosim" etc... Calmed her down though :p

Erm, Its the International Plaza...Costing £1k each with all parks and attractions great :)

This caught my eye...

Well me and my sister wont need anything other than a passport I presume, both under 16.

My mum? ... Will she have to apply for anything ..... Thomson said we were fine when we booked it, seemed to us like it was just a normal holiday.

What do we need to apply for buttons?

Sorry about the double post
