flow restriction?

Hi guys,
I'm not sure what's going on, but lately, when I have booted my computer, the loop will make a noise, I can't really tell when this noise is coming from despite throwing my head in the case.

There are 2 xspc d5 pumps on top of eachother, here is a video of it:


I can't imagine what's going on, there's a silver kill coil in the loop behind the back panel where the tubing goes out of sight, but it doesn't sound like the noise is coming from there... it's difficult to say where it's coming from but I would have thought it's one of the pumps.....

I noticed that the top pump is full where as the lower pump is half full, it looks like the liquid is building in the top? I think to get it back in evenly I'll need to drain the loop again?

what's an airlock? edit google is my friend :p

how can I remove it? tip the case? I mean that empty space in the bottom reservoir - the top comes off which can release the air.... but when I close it again, is that infact creating an air bubble in the loop?

it's a single loop, here's a diagram:

bottom pump exit goes up through the back which is why you can't see the 2nd tube of the bottom pump (only the bottom bit)

since this pic was taken, the liquid has dropped to half way on the bottom pump, while the top pump is full.
 
the bottom pump exits to a quick disconnect at the bottom of the case (on the other side of the case), that was going to be my bleeding point:
(note that this is an old photo when I was first adding liquid to the loop, which is why the tube is empty)

the speeds are the same, but should having 2 reservoirs make this noise? what kind of complications should I expect from having 2? I have seen people with 2 reservoirs before so not sure why I can't? Should I split the loop?

Link me to a build with 2 reservoirs that 1. aren't split loops and 2. don't have problems. Every loop I've seen with 2 reservoirs on a single loop has had an issue of some sort.

If I were you, I'd split the loop this way:
top 360 for CPU + ram + mobo
Silly big thing for the GPUs when you get them.

I'd be willing to bet money that the noises you hear are one of these 2:
Air lock
Pump that's been damaged by dry running. (How did you fill your loop???)

after a reboot, the pump runs silent, it doesn't always happen which makes me wonder if it's an air lock. but I'll disconnect the lower pump / res tonight and see what happens
 
after changing the connections, I still had it, but I found out it was the temporary graphics card fan that I'm using, I gave it a clean and no more noise :p

there was a pretty big air bubble in the tube though in the pump though, seems to be fine now :)
