Hi guys,

It is getting dark a little quicker now and soon we'll have more darkness than light.

I got dimmer switches in my living room on this chandelier that has 3 candle light bulbs on it. The light they emit is somewhat yellow. I've got a florescent tube in my garage and it gives out this wonderful white type of light.

I got some energy saving bulbs and tried them out they did give out a nice type of white light but didn't last long. Energy saving bulbs are not recommended to be used in dimmer switches.

So is there any type of bulbs that can out emit white lights?

You can buy daylight bulbs which are supposed to replicate the effect of sunlight, they are used by artists etc.

I've got one that I use sometimes, it has a blue tint on the glass and produces a brilliant light, I'd call it white as there isn't a noticable colour tint to it, not sure if it's the same thing you are after though.

Well, can anyone recommend a dimmable energy saving bulb? Im looking for one myself.
equivalent to 100W would be champion!

This or a fluorescent tube light.

We have tube lights in every room. I hate it when I go to someone else's house and they have awful orange lights. Makes me want to rip my eyes out, or leave ASAP.

u got tube lights in every room?! wow that's amazing

I too really hate this silly yellow light that I've been subjected for all my life.

Now is there such a bulb like the link you've given me that will
1. be a candle light
2. work in a dimmer
