I have a Grohe cistern that was installed last year but it looks like the button has become faulty since not working quite as easily it should. Looking to replace it and going to try the DIY route. A single flush button from Grohe seems to be around £35, which seems like a lot for a button to me, when you have dual flush buttons from Screwfix etc. for like £8.
Are these things interchangeable between brands? Or should I just stick with Grohe given that's the rest of the cistern? And I assume if it's a single flush thing, a double button can't be used and just have it do the same thing?
I'm very much a DIY noob, so excuse the potentially stupid/basic questions
