Flush fitting 6 point socket sets?

i am going to need some 12 pointers for when i tackle this tonight though

Exactly...12 point sockets are essential for some jobs. Not only 12 point fasteners, but for when you are working in a restricted space and you can't fit a 6 point socket on.

Even flank/wall drive sockets can fail on really rusty fasteners, which is why a set of cold chisels and mole grips should be in the next drawer of the toolbox ;)

I must admit i only use 6 sided sockets on the really really high torque stuff, or if i need to use my impact gun.

12 sided sockets are just so much easier to place over hard to reach and see nuts / bolts.

thats not undoing a nut, its turning a crank in case you didnt notice.

i dont know what engine bays youve been working in, but so far my adventures with the s4 engine bay have been fine and thats about as cramped as they get, the turbos are practically behind the bulkhead

as for high torque things, ive seen 12pt ones split. ive not killed a 6pt socket yet
