Flushing rad question

I am fitting all my stuff on Friday/Saturday, would I be okay to start flushing the rad now with tap water and then leave it overnight? Or just wait till the day I'm fitting then flush and then finish off with distilled water?

Did mine with boiling water in advance about 4 times. Then a quick rinse with distilled on the day I put it together

yeah it is fine. Let it dry before plugging it up though. Better to dry it and plug it than to plug it wet.

Just don't forget to wear some gloves or hold the rad with a cloth if using boiling water, nearly dropped my rad first time I filled the rad to rinse it, didn't think about all that heat transferring through the sides!

Yeah exactly, was a really 'special' moment! I now have some very sexy marigolds for flushing the rads out

I use my bare hands, as the 'hot potato motion' helps me shake the rad out properly to get all the flux out from the inside. (i would like to say because i am manly but my cries of pain as i do it greatly contradict that statement)

Hahaha! Yeah, the burnt on flesh left on the side of the rad put me off! Although perhaps I could let the water come off the boil for a bit first
