Hi all just got a Fluval 206 external fish tank filter.
put it in my 250 ltr aquarium. the aquarium canopy has a 900 ltr per hour filter as well. read about carbon is a no no for planted tanks as it takes the plant food out of the tank. when i read this i have taken the carbon out of the canopy filter and replaced with bio balls, so the canopy has 2 trays bio balls and 1 ceramic rings. fluval has bioballs ceramic rings and carbon. should i remove the fluval carbon bag and replace with something else.?? any info would be great, i have only 3 goldfish in the tank at the moment. thx in response :)

you have answered your own question.

if you have a well planted tank then dont run any carbon.

a pic of the tank will help too.

there is also an aquarium thread that may get better answers.
