evening, i've got a problem with flies in my room at the moment.
i've been squashing about 5 a day (during flight might i add :D) , and i need a solution to kill them all..
they seem to be attracted to my cactus, but i dont want to get rid of that... so any ideas?

To eliminate a fly, you must first become a fly.

Flap your arms and make buzz sounds while running around your room. Learn their weaknesses and exploit them.

Don't forget to put the web cam on, so we can tell you where you're going wrong.

This. Like the webcam chicken-suit bloke, but with added awesome. :D

We get occasional bouts of fruit flies, usually when the kids have 'forgotten' to put their toast crusts in the bin or something, favouring the "stash them behind the bed/couch/tv/bookcase" approach instead.

Scour your room, find any open or exposed foods (including the bin!) and erradicate. Have a good clean out, and keep your eyes peeled. If the cactus is indeed the source either bin it off or perhaps invest in a battery powered fly trap.

Happened to us in our old flat. We just took up fly boxing and punched them out of the air.

Hours of entertainment.

Chopsticks.

This man could be onto something! :D
