Flying Sim Games ?

Wish they would remake some old Amiga classics.

Birds Of Prey
Gunship
B17 Flying Fortress
F15 Strike Eagle
Knights Of The Sky

Knights Of The Sky was a fantastic game!

I play DCS and have bought most modules. It's unlike anything else for it's level of detail for military sims. The long awaited F-14 Tomcat is due out next month. For anyone who hasn't seen it, seatch YT for DCS F-14.

I basically built my new rig for it. Still need to buy a 1080ti though.

And Wings, loved those 2. They remade Wings on Steam, i picked it up a few years back, it doesn't have the charm of the original sadly.

Tried pretty much everything but my default go to is still Microsoft’s Flight Simulator X (FSX) it’s got more add ons and support than pretty much anything else out there, a real CPU rather than GPU hog and optimising it is a topic that makes left & right political argument look simple.

Still, I couldn’t recommend it highly enough especially if you want to go all in.

Used to enjoy IL2 and Janes USAF back in the days, not many about now and really can't call Ace Combat a flight sim so few and far between now.

I use Prepar3d as it's just a updated fsx, xplane has more future potential just find it a bit lacking at the moment. DCS world is great but I don't have the time to learn the aircraft, also the skill :),old games I used to love this

Don’t know particularly why but just can’t get on with Prepar3d, just find myself going back to basics I guess...

Thanks for the replies everyone, Bought Flight Sim X, Downloaded DCS world and will give the latest XPlane a looksy once I've got a good few hours in the previous 2.

Elite dangerous a flying sim game? Think I must have played the wrong game, or you don't understand what a flight sim game is

I never said ED is a flight sim, I said I played ED a lot, Got a HOTAS and wouldn't mind trying it out in other games and asked for flight sim ideas, Reading comprehension bud.

If by chance the OP fancies delving into the golden years of flight sims - Rowans Sims.

Seemingly a no go to get working on Windows 10. I always found IL-2 lacking in soul, whereas Mig Alley & Battle of Britain were great for single play! Hard as nails but once you got it - epic.
