Flying to America next year

I wish I was going to Colorado or Montana :(

Make plans & go :) Ya only live once. Once in Colorado rent an SUV and tool around the spectacular plains and Rocky Mountains!

Interestingly during the ski season its full of Swedes, Swiss, Norwegians, Germans lol...Alps at their doorstep but the snow and (prices??) must be great for them to fly 6000 miles west! (Im not a skiier so these are guesses..)

Good choice and nice to hear someone whose visiting America and NOT going to NY NY NY NY or Miami Miami Miami Miami lol.

IMO the Pacific Coast is brilliant and WA is a gorgeous state with specatacular scenery. Evergreen forests right along the coast etc. Id live there in a heartbeat.

Funny that, I will be living 2 hours south of Portland.:D

The powder in the Rockies is pretty sweet compared to the Europe stuff, its certinaly cheaper when I've skied too with the conversion added on top it works out well.

I know it's a year away, but I hope you have a great time. I'm mid-way through planning my American tour for next summer and am already pretty damn excited. :D

Yea I cant wait to road-trip America. Ive lived there 9 years but like an idiot hardly made the effort to REALLY *see* the country. Time to make that right.

I love their vehicles....specially the huge pickups. I shall rent one heh heh. Tired of our little Euro mobiles.

Off to Washington DC for a week next year to get some Ice Hockey games in, can't wait :)

Never been to NYC so have tacked 2 nights there on at the end of the trip but tbh I'm not that fussed really. But seeing as we're over there made sense to go along to get it done.

Ever been before? DC is fantastic, completely different to a lot of cities in the US I felt.

Great landmarks to visit though and some awesome free museums. I know you're there for hockey, but the Smithsonians are free, don't pass it up.

Maybe if you've got an American contact they could help you get a White House tour (you just have to apply really early and cross your fingers). It is actually a really nice house inside, kinda reminded me of National Trust properties!

What is your destination? You should buy them ASAP regardless because earlier still be cheaper than whatever slight temporary drop in prices there may be.

I disagree, prices usually stay at a set lofty altitude once they are available. Then there is a period of deals and steals that doesn't last long around the 6 month mark. Then the prices re-inflate before going dirt-cheap like 1 week before the fly date.

At least in my experience.
