FM 2008: I Always Concede?

no matter what happens, the opposition find a way to score. I always win games 2-1, 3-1, i was even 10-0 up and dominating when they decided to score in the 89th minute. I have a fantastic defence and keeper, most of the goals are from long shots. Is there any practical way to address this?

Couple of reasons, your players could have poor fitness and dont perform in last quater and you end up conceeding. Your tactics are just too caviliar, dosent matter who you got in defence if they pushing up all the time they aint defending
 
Yep same, I solve it by playing ridiculously attacking formations and just trying to outscore them.

2 rules for FM:

1.) No matter what keeper you buy he will play ten times crapper for you than any other team

2.) No matter what keeper you're facing, he may have conceded 10 goals per game, he will suddenly have the game of his life when playing you.

defensive line is fairly deep, that was a one off, that late goal, bu they always score in the second half, and 7 times out of 10 it's from long range
 
I played this game so much on holidays but the amount of disallowed goals and last minute goals gets absolutely ridiculous. It gets to the point when you can easily predict when a goal will be disallowed. The anger it gave me!

I'm usually calm, but there was one thing that really angered me. I did a test, Liverpool v Arsenal, it was community shield final. I was Liverpool. I played the game with the same players same tactics 10 times over. every time without fail Arsenal scored in the first 10 minutes, once by 3mins they were 2 nil up. another time they were 3-0 up after 12mins and surprsingly that was one of the 3 games I won. I was flat out favourites to win, having been on a 12 game unbeaten run (with only 1 clean sheet ;))

10 attempts at the match in a row and you played the exact same tactics, and 10 attempts in a row you had the exact same effect with a little variation in the scoreline?

If you are gonna replay matches, you may as well try and learn from the previous 9 attempts :D
 
This is why I am not a fan and cant get in to fm games, I just feel like it's either random or pre decided no matter which tactics or work you do beforehand.

Liverpool vs Norwich.
The whole team's morale is SUPERB. even the subs. My players earn more than the value of their entire team. Walkover victory? OF COURSE! but I'm sitting here and it's finished 1-1. I give up on this game. Hopefully 09 will be an improvement
 
Have you watched Liverpool play in real life? That sounds fairly realistic to me :confused:

Football doesn't work like this:

Team A 10/10

Team B 4/10


Team A wins.


Maybe you got your tactics wrong, had some bad luck or something like that.

used same tactics for a 5-0 win against sheffield wednesday, 3-1 win against man utd, and 2-0 win at stamford bridge. I give up on the game, those same tactics led me to a 5-1 loss at blackburn... :(
