Hi all

Just after some quick spec or thoughts.

Toying with the idea of changing my double din Focus 08 radio with an Android HU. Would be nice to easily mirror the screen (no cable) or at the least Bluetooth seamlessly (currently use an aftermarket Bluetooth in the aux socket)

Soundage wise, couple hundred I guess so I'm aware it won't be amazing or top of the range.

If the steering wheel volume controls still work (they're more of a wand than on the steering wheel) that'd be a bonus)

Thanks all :)

hmm
just had a look on the xtrons site, they are all 1GB of RAM now (which you DONT want)
mine has a lot more

ill dig out the model number, if u can get a s/h one cheap, id get one

mine is "PB78FSFIP-S"

i cant find it anywhere now

has 4GB RAM
Android 8

Pumpkin is also another good make, maybe try one of those, you want a lot of RAM

Do you mean an Android HU or a HU that supports Android Auto as they're not the same thing.
I'd be looking for the later.

I guess one that allows Android Auto? Ideally want to be playing things from my phone via the head unit (usually use SoundCloud or Spotify), bonus of having sat nav or whatever is good.

I have a 2009 Focus and put a Xtrons in it - didn't last long so binned it - Now got a Pumpkin - was twice the price and so much better - Most of the steering wheel controls work but not set the button. - The only drawback is the satnav doesn't put anything on the dash screen so you always have to look at HU screen.
