i have a ford focus and it has just turned 60k on the clock. i want to keep the service history going and wondered when the next service would be and likely cost? at what service is the cam belt changed?

Focus's are very cheap to service, even a major service is about £200 or less if you use your local Ford dealers RapidFit section.

If its a petrol Focus the cambelt is not due until 100k miles or 10 years.

hi,service intervals are in 12.5000 mile intervals making a 37.500 mile a major service at £245 and all others inbetween minors at £175 these are prices for a 'major southern dealer' at london prices!these are inclusive of v.a.t and parts.lab.

as posted the 1.4/1.6 sigma(ztec se) engines cambelts are 100k or 10 years

the 1.8 and 2.0 black top engines(with the alloy cast crank carrier) are again 100k or 10 years but i have had lots of the cam tensioner pulley's crack and break at around 70k causing an expensive head repair job.get it done at 60-70k for peice of mind.

hope this helps...neil
ps if diesel let me know and i can advise but my pinkys are tired!! :)

it has just done 60k and was thinking it was about that time when the cam belt should be changed. how much should i be paying for this?
