I may be in a position to inherit at a special price my folks' (55 reg) Ford Focus Mk2 Zetec Climate 1.6 but there's one little bugbear at the moment. The car has the 6000CD Radio/CD Player with the cental volume dial and the AUX button rather than the CDDJ button (which after a search on Google is apparently important) but my folks, bless 'em, didn't think to specify the AUX input option in the glovebox.

Is it possible to get it retro-fitted & how much would it be likely to cost (ford dealer or 3rd party although would prefer the dealer to do it as it still has just over a year on the warranty left to run).

Any idea chaps?

I did this on my old fiesta st which had the same stereo. The FINIS code for it was 1426121, I expect the part number will be different for the focus but will be more or less the same item...I'd double check just incase with the Ford Dealer.

The part itself was only about £8 and fitting yourself would be easy, simply removing the stereo, plugging it in at the back and feeding it into the glove box. May be pricey getting it done at a dealer as I expect they'll charge the usual £70+ an hour labour and I doubt doing it yourslef or 3rd party would affect the warranty should the stereo go **** up.
