Couple of simple questions.

1 - Does it have the heated front windscreen like most Focus models?
2 - Does it have under passenger seat CD changer or is it single dash job.

My potential cars changes like the wind (R32, Cooper S Works etc.) but where I work there is a 53 plate RS that I see regularly and every time I think - damn that looks the business.

Cheers

Cooper S isn't really a contender to it, not enough top end.

I almost went for a Focus RS when I was looking around for my last car, ended up with the Cupra R mainly due to it being a nicer place to commute in, whilst I adore the Focus RS externally, and love its ride when thrashing it, I couldn't have used it daily.

They do have the quickclear windscreen, but i'm unsure about the changer.

I bet Cooper S owners curse their cars inability to do 145mph every time they take it out

Thats not really what I meant by "top end", more that its tailing off around 80-90 compared to the Focus RS/LCR/R32.

Why do you always have a comeback to everything, is there not a barge thread you can cripple?

Perhaps you should have made that a bit more clear, becuase it certainly sounded like you were lamenting its top speed.

Blah blah blah blah.

Does not have a heated front windscreen, has a 6 disc (in dash) cd changer.

In standard form the FRS *is not that amazing*. However add a decat, induction, and bluefin and that all changes. :D

The interior put me off them a bit too, plus the seats are well high!

Yea it works really well :p

Focus RS is the sort of car you KNOW you want, and if you want one, there are no alternatives. It's more raw than other hot hatches, it's more unrefined in other areas, but it's certainly more special than any other hot hatch even if it's not really much, if any, better.

I look when I see a Focus RS, and I'm sure I'm not alone/.

It seemed clear to me what he meant?

I'd consider joining up on the FFOC 1ofaKind, plenty of people on there have an RS. I would have thought the RS would come with the in dash 6 disc changer.

My friend had an early model RS. It didnt have the quickclear windscreen and had a in-dash 6CD changer.

I still dont understand why Ford thought it would be a good idea to have a boost gauge but no temp gauge

I didnt think they had differences in the model of RS?

I know they are designed on the phase 1 Focus (carpets etc..)

The later productions had changes made to seat bases, etc... but the first cars released could have this done under warrenty,

I loved my cooperS really fun car... works is utter superb... the new model is supposed to be even better :)

They had very subtle differences such as different seat stitching, and some other stuff that wasnt anything special. They also had a different map, however if you took it to the Ford garage they would update the older cars with the newer map.

1 - No. Can be retrofitted but requires bodging a wiring loom.
2 - 6006 unit, which is 6 disk in the dash.
