Reading Sutters in Autopap today and he was discussing how he has been at the Ring testing a new hot hatch which is going to blow all hot hatches into the weeds when it hits the road shortly. It has lapped the ring in 8.17 he suggests and says he can't say what it is as he is sworn to secrecy but work it out. His words were "ask yourself how many sub £25K front wheel drive hot hatches are in development right now and you'll probably come with the answer yourself...)

I would suggest the new RS might be a little special.

Megane R26-R? :) If it is the Focus I hope it is really good, will shut up all the OMGODZ ITS NOT 4WD baffoons and ST lovers who say what's the point :p

fiver says I wet myself when i see one and have to try very hard to resist buying one if it comes in green and looks like the one in auto express :)

looking like that I don't give a rats ass how it drives :)

They will do a version with a de-tuned Micra engine just for posers :p

Fiver says the press moan about torque steer, it being rubbish on the road but awesome on the track.

Dunno its going to have an LSD and the Focus is said to be one of the best to drive on the road because it is a bit soft and has a very lazy power delivery.

the ST is pretty soft and its lazy in the sense it takes off from pretty much any rpm but if you keep it up the higher end of the rev range its anything but lazy :)

I expect the RS will lose some of the lazier lower end in exchange for higher turbo lag and a more crazy top end tbh.

Well thats what I meant, sorry if it wasnt implied. I need to get a test drive in one, but the ford dealer by me is crap and never offers me one whenever i'm in there prodding about.
