Focus ST - Oh my giddy aunt!

Something doesn't look right in the proportions for the new Focus...I'm not sure what it is.

Not driven either, but from a desirabililty aspect, I'd go with the Mk5 Golf GTi...but then I'm a bit of a VW fan. IIRC EVO rated the MK5 over the ST...

Theres a german company already got 300bhp out of it.Theres a small piece in this months redline mag about it.

Shold be able to get more than that out of it although VolvotuningUK are only showing 260bhp which surprises me because they can get 310 out of both the 2.3 and 2.4 T5 versions.

I wanted it in orange, but i couldn't imagine it driving it all the time, it's too in your face.

So decided on a panther black ST3, every thing you have written above is spot on, the handbreak isn't a problem though and the noise is fantastic

the best spec in the best colour, cant argue with your decision

My mondy is panther black and its a 'mare to keep clean, plus i fancy a change, the performance blue is a stunning colour too.

Only Just tho, i have a test drive setup for the Golf tomorrow, the only thing with the golf is that you dont get much for your money, no leather,heated windscreen etc, and it looks a bit bland,mind so does the focus, just not as bland.

Hmm perhaps it means it runs a switchable map for normal or tuned running but is the usual advertising BS.

I won't be as tunable as the engine in the S60 T5, as that has a bigger turbo than the S40/Focus ST

It is a lovely engine though - I've got an S40 T5

i think the new focus is a fantastic looking car, had a proper nose over one at the weekend, photos just dont do it justice at all
