Focus T230

Ever heard of one of these before?

I saw this in Maidstone the other day.

Looked to me like a bit of kit and a few 'decals'. I looked it up and there was a T230 version, but I'm not sure it looked like that, and the decal was different.

What do you think?

Only a few of them about.. But theres something about the rear bumper and boot that don't quite line up on that one .

Thats the thing. It sounded stock. I was expecting to hear a turbo as it wentr up the hill, but there was nothing.

Plus the front didn't have all those crazy holes in the bonnet.

You've photoshopped on that badge, that bumper and that tailpipe to make us think you'd seen a real Focus T230 when really it's just a Zetec.

Why would anybody want to make their car look like something it isn't?

Can I get a VXR badge for my diesel Astra and be "cool" too?

Doesn't neccesarily prove anything that, does it? The T230 was a turbocharged... 2 litre Focus Zetec. So it's going to show up as a Focus Zetec 2.0 at the DVLA.

I didn't know that. Again, I bow to your wisdom on all things car...

Still people that do try to make their cars look like some other model make me go :confused:

Yer. Thats the problem, it'll show up as no different to a bog standard 2 litre on there.

I think it wasn't as the badges weren't right and there was no sound of a turbo.

Like I'd really spend my day doing something that lame. I work for the civil service. I have lots of important work to be getting on with.

T230 does exist.... and they are quite rare

I believe they are 2.0 Litre Zetec Turbo.

...however, that one in the pic - seems to be a look-a-like

I don't understand why anyone would go to the trouble of making a T230 replica. Nobody, not even this forum until we all went off and googled it, would know what it was or what you were pretending to own.

I reckon it's genuine.

If it didn't have the funny vents in the bonnet - Then it probably isn't genuine - and it also looks like it's got a different rear roof spolier
