51 Plate
FFSH
72,000 miles
5 Door in Silver
Almost perfect condition apart from one door ding

No idea if its got any extras, do not even know what they were but its not got leather or anything fancy. Got aircon though ;)

I can buy it from parents for £2700 as its been sat on the drive for 2 years having very LITTLE use

That's a good price, plus it's the more powerful of the diesel focusses :) You also know all, if not a large part of the car's history - you know you're not getting sold a lemon. Mileage is good and on a diesel it's just getting run in! I'd go for it; they're very good cars.

Is it a 2001 51 or a 2002 51?

Ford Focus Hatchback (98-04) 1.8 TDCi (113bhp) Zetec 5dr 2001 (51)72,000 miles

Dealer £3,875
Private £3,185
Part exchange £2,965
Trade £2,765
Cost new £14,850

Either way it's still under book

Also with a remap you should see about 140BHP I believe.

Another vote for getting a tuning box! Got a DTUK one on my 130ps TDCi mondeo. Supposedly takes it up to 165-170ps. Can't verify this but the car is much more responsive and the extra torque can be fun :)

only £3150? that was a steal

Not really when looking at the average prices at the moment. Could have perhaps got around 3300 for it but meh still made some easy money and its gone to a good family :D

Also, it did not quite have full service history, my dad decided to self service from 2006 onwards since it was doing an average of 1k miles a year

hmm my dad is about to pay £4400 for an 04 plate with 60k on it but no a/c, they've come down a lot since i bought mine glad i sold it didn't loose too much

Tell your dad thats WAY too much, look at past auctions on ebay to see how much they have come down...

really? i thought it was ok because i payed 6k for a 53 plate with 44k in july last year.

i sold it in nov 07 with 51k for £5000
