Folder read only attribute

Ok so Im about to tear my hair out, trying to clear a read only attribute on a folder and it keeps reverting back to read only.

Any thoughts or help on this? Tried doing it manually though command prompt and faffing in the security tabs, but no dice.

Is it inheriting from the folder above?

Infact, just noticed it does this for all my folders on both system drives and data drives

Any thoughts?

This happened to me when I wanted to alter a folder for Rome:Total war. I eventually just gave up and copied the whole contents of the notepad into a new one, and saved it as the correct file name. Many hours spent smashing the keyboard. I too would also like to find a solution to this problem.
