folder view too large

hi
when i look in my folders the view is too large, everything has been set to extra large icons, it happened without changing any settings (at least not by me and my kids dont know if they have done it)

where do i need to go to get it to default to samll icons?

In XP, right click on the Desktop > Properties and click the 'Appearance' tab, and go to the bottom of that dialog and select normal in font size box.

If that doesnt take any affect after clicking Apply/OK, go back to the Appearance tab and click the Effects button and uncheck the 'Use large icons' checkbox.

sorry should have said, i am in vista
but i have been to the same location in vista and it does not sort it
any more ideas?

Open the folder and click on it to make it the active
window.

Then hold down the left CTRL key and use the mouse scroll
wheel to adjust the icon size.

been doing that, but its every folder that i open and its getting a bit tedious now.

(Press ALT if you don't have the menu already) Tools > Options > View tab - Reset folders / Apply to All Folders
