Ive just gone bigadv on the opteron rig (Hydra:)) got the first wu its a P2684 what sort of frame times do these run at compared to other units?

Have read they are a pain?!:confused:

4 frames in TPF 23.46 53k ppd

For reference:

2684 is the slower of the 2600 WUs drops Gemini's frame times from around 12:30 to 18:00 with a resultant PPD drop from 140K to 80K
 
Hydra now fully populated and frame times have dropped to 11.54 on a P2684:)

Double the cores all but halve the frame time its remarkable how well this scales:eek:

Thats 129k ppd going to stompy:D

Whoever said a H8QGi-f would fit in a stacker 810 without mods was a madman:mad:

After an afternoon of dremel work cutting the bottom off the motherboard tray and adding half a dozen holes it just fits,that is JUST.

I even had to buy the dremel!!!!!
 
It should have warranty, its a XFX card tho so don't no what they'd send back as a replacement ? I'll sort it out after xmas :cool:

Seeing as VAT is going up :eek:
Might order a 450 as there cheap which would be quietest > MSi Cyclone or ASUS ??

I'd double check, last thing you want is the warranty expiring over Chirstmas.
 
Dammit, just when I get rid of one P2684 I get another one on another machine! Talk about halving your output! :(
