Folding@home news 11th - 18th July

Sounds about right - was getting around 90 to 95k on my 680's before they moved on to new owners.

On the bright side things have cooled down here a lot over the past day or so...phew :D

BTW: I've now found some suitable memory for the Intel 4P's and expect delivery within the next week or so......hopefully should increase output of both rigs by 100k as they are both currently only utilizing dual channel.

As the weather seems to be settling down I may switch the GPU's to 'on' status too.

hows the electricity bill now LB ? it must have knocked at least £100 a month of? I also noticed you fired 2 gpus back up, are they the titans or the gtx770/780?

you and biffa are going to have pretty much the EXACT set ups I noticed soon lol, biffa building another intel 4p ( I think? ) and he also has 4 gpus like you now

Well I've bought the CPU's and half the RAM, if my CC lets me I'll order the mobo, heatsinks and the rest of the ram before the weekend.

460 rig is out of action at the moment because it is provisionally sold, but soon enough i'll have a 570 and possibly an i7 930 folding away alongside the 660 OC and occasionally the 2500K :)

Any fancy tweaks that will get me more points out of the 570 in the same way as I did with my 660? Or does that only apply to the newer generation cards?

Can I "Borrow" it next month :D

im pretty sure theres another that he has that could be used from him? not sure though, when I say rented, I am giving him money, but such a small amount, it is covering the electricity , would you run a 4p 24/7 for free ? :p

just one weeks worth of folding on a 4p is more than a GPU + its cost would get me in months.
