Big bounce back this week, well done guys :)

My linux bigadv is stable and doing well, it is running really cool as well so might have to try to bump the overclock a bit :)

Now just need to get the 460 going in linux now.

And damn you BaBa, stomping me!!! *shakes fist* :p

Thanks for the news dekez:)

If my ppd works out as i think it will then you not going to be on your own in the stomped department:D

It could get upto 400k if things go well, ive already had some 6901's close to that on Hydra alone:)

Sorry guys, lost some 350K this week in 0xc0000005 errors. All at over 80% :( two 6901's and a 2684.

Error normally means memory problems, but can't see how thats suddenly cropped up. Could be anything.

Sorry to here of the problems Biffa, did you make the move to linux?

My sig seems to have died are we still having team ocuk trouble?

If any of you guys are running linux then i recommend popping over to amdzone and trying tears affinity wrapper its knocked 30 seconds off my frame times and thats from 6.48 to 6.12:D

Not sure how much this will work on single processor rigs but Biffa's SR-2 will see a speed up:)

Well I've got a few Ubuntu questions.

Anyone found a decent HWMonitor like programe that works with it to monitor temperatures?

Also how do I go about sharing the folding folder so that my Windows based HFM server can read it?

I think lm-sensors should do the trick for temps.

For the share get the samba package and its gui package to make the easier to use:)

I tried Im-sensors but wasn't that impressed, I was just looking for a simple GUI programe like HWMonitor that shows current and highest.

I'll give the samba package a go thanks.

conky is one that everyone seems to rave about, it uses lm-sensors.

http://conky.sourceforge.net/

It sits on the desktop and shows pretty much whatever info you want it to. I've installed it up but not had time to set up (or find from someone else) a config file that has everything I want yet.

Yeah I did come across that in my search, although again it looked less than straight forward. Something simple like HWMonitor for Linux would be perfect.

Actually just seen one in there screen shots (top right one) that has a fah monitor on as well, I'll give that a go later.

edit: yes it's not straight forward, but nothing is with linux! lol, but it wasn't that hard to set up. I'd be interested in a simple one as well, even things like cpu-z are a pain to find!!

Getting some issues on one of my systems:

Then once I close the error message it deletes the WU:

The overclock is higher than I'd normally do (4.2GHz) but it is stable under LinX. Maybe it is a SP1 or 6.34 issue? Anyone had anything like this? Temps are fine (70 tops) and I've tried upping the vCore/QPI.

Ah yes, so he did. Strangely however the system no longer passes LinX and the other two systems on 6.34 have been fine.

Very odd...

Just got my first 2684 following the switch to linux frame times 9.08 and 150k+ ppd down on other WU's:(

On the plus side this is close to the frame time i had on 6900 in windows so gives me about 220k:)

Wow not been in here for a while, nice to see the folding team is still going strong. Surprising how quickly things change - it used to be an acheivement breaking 1m ppw and now it's taking less than 24 hours.

Well done all :)

Well looks like [OcUK]Delboy may be in a stomping mood some time soon....

But I'm still waiting for the announcement :(

Congrats all on the improved Team RAC (or should I say congrats BaBa?)

Once again thx for the news dekez :)

Biffa: Did you get to the bottom of the issues you had? The system was rock solid at 4.2GHz and now it won't even pass LinX for more than 8 minutes at 4GHz. Going to have to do some more investigation, the memory is fine, so I'm thinking the motherboard or power supply might have issues.
