Woohoo!

Ok, I know we have people doing this in a day, but I'm happy!:D

OK guys, really ramping up production now. Weebeastie is full steam and stable.

If I can keep production up HFM reckons I should be good for 180K PPD

Weebeastie is contributing nearly half :D

CPU i7 970 is at 4.07 Ghz (-smp 10 -bigadv)
GPU's at 700/1400/1674 (-advmethods)

Using Bill2's Process manager to keep everything folding on the right cores

Nice one Mr Biffa sah!!
Question.. i tried using a radeon hd5670 for folding and it did the first work unit fine but now it insists on using the gtx470 thats in the same rig and i cant for the life of me figure out how to get it to use the radeon only each time, would appreciate any help in advance....thanks :)

You need a space as far as I'm aware between -gpu and the number as with all the switches.

Aye, thank you young man :)

Seems after that bigadv dump earlier today one of my rigs has picked up a regular A3 :(

Knocked me back down to 167K

Biffa, that's amazing!!!!

Bit mad, but then we are a bit like that here, we build up to it. I used to be mad crazy about seti a few years back and did similar then too. Life changes make decisions for us sometimes but I always seem to come back to crunching for the team in one form or another.

Also I think when it gets a bit competitive around you a response is called for :) For me it wasn't attacks on my slot in the team. I sort my stats view by Points per Week and focus on that :)

No worries, you've helped me plenty! ;)

Yeah I've been getting loads of 3k-5k WUs up until recently where I've finally been getting decent sized BigAdvs. One of them should put me in 15th once it dumps tonight.

@Biffa - decided to have a look around old stomping grounds, came across your post about 'weebeastie' I have a similar rig 4.0Ghz (20x200) also crunching -smp 10 but I seem to be much faster than you i.e. TPF for project 2684 weebeastie - 39:?? (can't get the figures now) mine - 36:14 - I was curious to find out what the differentiators were , I only have 3 x 460s crunching opposed to your 4 GPUs which might account for some but not that much - I'm using Patriot Viper memory with XMP setting in bios (CPU-Z read back gives 8.8.8.24.88.2T), I've read that memory timings make a big difference for -bigadv and that must apply to all A3 units to some extent.

Whats the deal on sigs these days ?? are members from competing teams (315) allowed to post their stats sigs ??

4 cards makes a big impact. Also big difference in settings. I'm running 177x23 and OCZ 1066 memory at 531Mhz on a 2:6 divider. Timings are 6,7,7,16,59,1T

These are the benchmarks with 2684 (which runs slower than 2685)

Cheers Biffa, looks like it must be higher clock speeds doing the business - big differences in PPD.

It'll be FSB speeds and the extra Fermi

I'm memory constrained, my Low Voltage OCZ just isnt stable much higher than stock. Also our experience seems to be is that every Fermi you put in takes a big hit out of yourbigadv averages depending on what WU they get and its a balancing act to keep a high output from a single rig.

Hopefully improvements in the GPU3 code will alleviate that at some point in the future.
