------------------------------

Good week guys, and in the last 24hrs we were over a mil PPD again.

My first bigadv unit should be finishing in 3 hours, it's quite nerve racking how long they take! I'm still messing around with my GPUs between the 2 machines, depending on what I can get running on the 260+460 mix will determine what my final PPD after the sandy bridge upgrade will be, it will be at least 50K though so all good.

Now I can't decide what to do with my K9A2 Platinum motherboard, I should sell it really but a little part of me is saying upgrade the bios and get a hex core! Damn this folding addiction!! :p

Thanks for the news Dekez:)

Ive had a great week with no crashes and an almost constant run of 6900's my ppd average is very close to that shown in HFM:cool:

K9A2's ive got a couple of them both with 1055t's @3.5 but not folding, they are my main seti rigs with the cpu's now doing CPDN, i love them:)

My PPD is starting to stabilise now I've finished upgrading and overclocking. Should be able to match BaBa next week and still keep gpu's on Seti :)

My new rad arrived earlier on, only I slept longer than intended after work last night so I'll have to drop it in tomorrow, if I've got enough tubing and im pretty sure I may have binned some and can't seem to find my spare meter

If you need any let me know type/colour/length (email in trust) and I'll pop some in the post.

Trying to oc my 470 more i've got it at: 800/1600/[email protected] stable with MSI's Afterbuner Kombustor tool

Biffa, I tired your settings :) 800/1600/[email protected] it didn't like 1.050mv :(
I guess each card is different and can only go so far.

It is it safe to run 1.087mv ?

Also will increasing the memory speed add extra PPD ?

Oh and Ta for the News dekez :D

Richy: Memory adds almost zero PPD. Re the mv as long as its not overheating you should be ok. Remember mine are on water.

Edit in other news, SB [email protected] has finally got a decent WU

P6900 (R41, C24, G6) - 0:26:26 TPF - PPD 45316.78

Back into the top 100 in global PPD.. BA you are 83 (currently) :p

Yep same im on water too :D

I seem to be having major issues with the card. 725/1450/[email protected] is what i have been using for the last 5 months working just fine,
but can't seem to get it to fold with anything higher, its stable with MSI Kombustor, but I keep getting the NaN's error when folding, any idea's ?

I can't sorry, usually they either just work or they don't, the fact that it doesn't like overclocks may point to a weakness in the hardware shaders or core. Unfortunately with Fermi you can't separate the clocks of the two anymore otherwise you could check.

Oo congrats, welcome to the millionaires club :)

Cheers :) Only started folding really at the end of November and it's a couple of machines doing bigadv's that have given me my main points. (i7 and Xeon)

Each machine takes about 3 days to fold a single bigadv, I'm not sure if this could be quicker with some tweaking? but it means I get around 130k every 3 days from them.

I'm sure I've seen others dropping bigadv's quicker than that on i7's ??

Congrats on the 11 Million btw ;)

You've done well to get to a million so quickly, I remember my first million took ages!

As far as I know the only way to increase the speed of bigadv is to overclock (unless you can get a dual or quad cpu machine which is what some of the others have), what speed is your i7 running at?

I have a i7 2600K at 4Ghz and it takes about 2-3 days to complete a unit.

It's an i7 975 @ stock (3.33ghz) If only I had it at home I would have it under water!
3 days sounds about right then. To be fair I also run the GPU client on it for 6k ppd and I think Biffa was saying that could have a bit of an effect on it too.
