Im toying with a 460 , but it means new PSU as I don't want to hammer my 400w OCZ, plus im meant to be saving for a car.

I wouldnt say no to a job around xmas time though, even if its a 2hr drive

not folding much, im on the smp client (unlocked phenom 555 @3.7 atm). the IGP aint really much use and i frazzled a 3850 about an hour after shoving it in the system for the first time. Still, i start full time work next week, with payday on the 15th. Bout time i got me a 5770 (yes i know nvidia folds much better, but i do use it for other things...).

On a side note, are any of the 5770 models in stock still using the old batmobile style cooler? Looking at the review comments, the pictures can be deceiving :/

Can't seem to work out why one of my GPUs keeps loosing it configuration! When I restart the machine sometimes it retains it sometimes it doesn't? When it doesn't it will fold for the anonymous team 0 and always takes me ages to realise I'm loosing the credit!

Currently plowing through a new P2685 unit, very impressive so far. TPF has gone down to 34:06 giving a unit credit of 73,266 and a PPD of 30,900

im testing

currently running:
a 4.2ghz i7 920 + 470 doing bigadv and gpu
a 4.2ghz i7 980x + 460 doing bigadv and gpu
a 3.8ghz i7 970 + 480 doing bigadv and gpu

the 980x rig will ship out today once it finishes testing then i will try something different.
its interesting to see the production rates of different systems. and its reassuring to know that everything is being tested well

Well, lets see
a 4.2ghz i7 920 (20K PPD) + 470 (13K PPD) doing bigadv and gpu
a 4.2ghz i7 980x (30K PPD) + 460 (10K PPD) doing bigadv and gpu
a 3.8ghz i7 970 (27K PPD) + 480 (15K PPD) doing bigadv and gpu

All rough figures so the 3 GPU clients are giving you 38K PPD which is more than your highest and nearly 2x the lowest bigadv unit production. Simply put, you are doing 4 lots of bigadv work at the same time so you are cheating
