I'm sad not to be in the single PC league. :p

I do only use a single PC, and for the most part always have, but I once used my server with an old GTX460 in it at the same time, and ballsed that up! :p

ye I still check here from time to time aswell, my interest went south when mining took over and some people left leaving this part of the forum seriously quiet. loudbob was one major player who hasn't even been online since he stopped folding lol
 
I really want to get back going with something but the lack of people / chit chat in here is stopping me lol been sat here for 2 days looking at what I can buy!

I did re install the program and run it on my i3 but its output is probably less than a phone lol
 
I lost interest in folding once the BigADV WUs were finished so the multicpu rig no longer justified the energy costs. I haven't got a bank of GPUs available, or even a rig that would handle those, and can't afford mega expenditure on hardware. So that meant a dabble in a few BOINC projects where again I am increasingly uncompetitive. I'm already running my home PC only part day, and overnight where I get cheaper rate 'leccy, but I'm facing up to the likelihood even that will soon cease. A monthly gas and electric bill of over £130 is biting me too much :(

what would the 48 core get now running normal cpu projects? I was looking at 750ti's to 960's and even amd's 290.

good thing is you wouldn't need a bank of gpus lol. even a 750ti are high producers from what ive searched and a gtx960 can do over 150k ppd which isn't bad for £150 ish

so long as the dust it cleaned out I find the temps never really affected any of the gpus or cpus ive folded on. time for a new pc acme ... right after that new car lol. I am looking at new cars my self . cupra tsi or mk5 golf or just tidy up what I have and save the 7k and build a MONSTER pc :D

My PC is pretty good, but it it cuts out after it has been folding for a long while, I haven't got time to look into it at the moment. I will do when I book some time off work. :)

I'm currently awaiting a quote from Adrian Flux for a very nice Corolla T-Sport that is for sale locally (facelift with full toyotasport body kit, black, rare alacantra interior, etc)

hurry up and give it a clean then so it stops overheating and give me 1 less reason to not be bothered about getting back going lol :cool:

It shouldn't be an issue really, it is an XFX 750W 'XXX' (80+ Silver Seasonic based semi-modular affair) and I am only running one GPU (780TI Matrix Plat)
