Folding@Home News 29th September - 6th October

Thanks for the welcome dekez.

Don't know how much I will be contributing for the next week or so. My plan is to run it 24/7 in my bedroom to keep me warm in the winter (no radiators in there) but the weather recently means I haven't needed to.

I'll be helping more when it gets colder! :)

I think Biffa's making a move, at this rate he should stomp me back very shortly:(

Darkmatter has just been more stable now, you got me before because my average dropped so low due to it topping itself every few hours.

Plus I've been able to bring the GTX470's back online for weebeastie.

Its more to do with the dropping ambient temps in the room where they are located, I can't think of anything else that has changed, even after switching the Thermalcack 875W out for the Corsair 1050W and adding the heatsinks to the VRM's it was still shutting itself down during the day.

Yeah, but I finished the wu at 11am - and can't see anything in the langouste log to say it had uploaded - but all the subsequent small wu's uploaded fine.

the 2600k should be finished with it's big-bigadv wu soon so I'll see if that uploads ok - if it does I'll swap the 990x onto the same VBox/Ubuntu fah
setup instead of the VBox/Linux image.

Make sure your partitions are formatted ext3 otherwise it will take forever to write and read the bigbeta wus
