In v7, it is under the Configure button - Slots tab - Select the GPU slot - Click Edit - Extra slot options. Add a new option, Name is client-type, Value is advanced. Then add another one called next-unit-percentage and value of 100

Cheers. :)

Will that take effect immediately or will I need to finish the current WU and/or restart the client?

Welcome aboard. :D

Have a word with Biffa about getting the most out of that 7870, I think you can get two or three times the PPD out of it with a few tweaks. :)

I really do need some help any way as I have many issues around using this software.

1. I know I have not finished my 10 Wu to get any bonus but my 6100 is only pulling around 5 to 8k ppd and keeps stepping down when I just leave it for a while. I have set the flag to advanced and also I am doing smp folding and it says CPU 5 which I am presuming that it is using 5 cores and one to power my gpu and is doing around 20 mine tpf

2.not to bothers about ppd on the 24/7 unit but I would like to monitor it seen as it is headless. I am not sure if I need a dummy plug for the gpu (os win7). I have tried both fah controll to monitor and hfm.net on my main computer and tried many guides but to no avail.

Most of all any tips and tricks that you could offer in any way would be most helpfull
thank you

8K sounds about right for that CPU, think its not much faster than a Q6600 Core processor. Plus if you are running Core 15 or 16 work units on the AMD card it will be using a lot of CPU power. I would not bother folding on the CPU and just use the GPU.

Make sure you have the folding power slider set to full. Make sure as above you have the GPU slot set to client-type advanced as per the instructions above.

You don't need a dummy plug for the gpu.

What PPD can I expect from an i7 930 (somewhere between 3.6 and 4.0) and a GTX570? (unsure what clocks as of yet but it will be overclocked, so just a rough guesstimate) :)
