You can get pata ssd's for laptops

Are they any good though, or just SSDs released several years ago? If they're just older SSDs they're unlikely to be worth the outlay, and there are 7200rpm 2.5" HDDs around. Plus an SSD in a low-specced laptop is a bit of a waste IMO, I reckon it'd be handicapped by the CPU/RAM before you get a significant speed boost
