------------------------------

Quite a big drop off this week as expected after the stomp monster event, big thank you to SiriusB for organising that and we raised £216.14! :)

Still we managed another team stomp, whoopass failed to live up to their name and we flew past them. :D

Lots of new members this week so welcome to all and if you need a hand with anything just give us a shout :)

I'm still waiting for the SB motherboard I'm after to be in stock, also decided to treat myself to a new case which is out of stock as well :(.
Must have patience! My memory has arrived in one piece though :p

Thanks for the update, nice to see I'm in the list of the top 12 crunchers and producers :D Just wish I could get the dual xeon'd mac crunching better than it is currently.

Better showing than last week for me, back into me stride, its been an interesting week output wise with BaBa and myself swapping daily output to see who keeps ahead in the weekly dumpage, which is the stat I currently judge myself by :)

I've got the CPU/mobo just went for the cheapest I could, plus as its replacing a gigabyte board it just seemed right.

Just waiting for the block fitting for 1155 and backplate to arrive now, doesn't look like its getting here today.

Posted my tiffe in last weeks news, better move it to here :)

Thanks for the news Dekez:)

Its been a bad week for me ive had two hangs a hard crash and to top it all lost a bigadv workunit this morning:confused:

On top of all that ive had four 2684's in a row and it was the first 6900 in ages that i lost:mad:

Hydra seems to be running OK now, ive taken the graphics card out and temps have dropped a little.

Hope it stays that way so i can save up to get her under water.

I know, think I had two die on me in the last two weeks :(

Thats whats holding me back from pushing the SR-2 to get that extra 30K, I like that its stable as a rock where it is and just chucks out 1 sometimes 2 bigadv wu's a day.

But... I'm tempted :p

Woop.. just dropped another one. :D

I also have had a bad week, my i7 box is off at the rentals but i haven't had a chance to get round there so lost a bigadv at about 95% :( My other machine has been restarting like a nutter as well Grrr!

My production has taken a knock. I tend to switch off my main rig over part of the weekend as the noise bugs my gf! :( Might have to invest in some kind of pipes and fluid arrangement. It's a wacked out idea I know! ;)

My server fell over the other day which didn't help matters. I say fell over, more like pushed. Dad turned off the wrong breaker and switched off the leccy in the attic! Lost about 24 hours on both my bigadv and GPU clients.

Thanks for sorting it out SB.

I just passed magman so I'm back to 6th after the whole "stomp_monster" incident! ;)

Clear a path i'm comin thru:)

Rincin 9.1hrs
Nathwraith 14.3hrs
Pilgrim57 1.3days
Peter439921 2.3days
Senture 2.9days

I drop my first bigadv points tomorrow am for a total of 72,000 odd points (35,000 PPD on a i7 930 @ 4ghz) so anyone between me and the top of page 3 on the OcUK team ranking should watch out!

On the advice of ppl from here I folded (no pun intended!) and bought a i7 2600k which i'll use as the main folding rig. That should arrive on Wednesday :)

I've also got around 10 other PC's in office lab (quite old machines) giving me around 30,000 PPD as well.

I'll keep an eye out for ui'm currently 217 ish trying to get into the top 200, wish I could afford an i7 rig doing bigadv but currently got the gtx 460 folding it's little heart out.

ahhh i would except the gtx isnt in the same rig as the phenom2 its in a another one with a phenom 9650. although i could set my main rig to fold aswell. really wish stanford would release a client optimised for ati though coz my 6970 would be awesome at folding then.

Ati card is good for Seti Astropulse and Milkyway@home

The OpenCL version of the the Folding Client has a release schedule of "when it happens it will happen" I think everyone is waiting for it. But politics and money go a long way in educational institutions.
